Welcome to The Sassy Dog House
Well, y’all, welcome to The Sassy Dog House!
I’m so glad you’re here! Grab yourself a cup of coffee, get comfortable, and prepare yourself for a little chaos, a lot of dog hair, and enough sass to go around. Around here, the dogs are the main characters, the humans are the unpaid staff, and personal space doesn’t exist.
And honestly? We wouldn’t have it any other way.

So, Who’s Behind The Sassy Dog House?
That would be me, the dog mama, treat dispenser, professional cuddle buddy, full-time door opener, and the person who somehow ended up living in a house where the dogs call most of the shots (okay, really they call all of the shots, let’s be real here!).
I share my home with my husband and four dogs who each have their own personalities, quirks, and very strong opinions about how life should work. Some are sweet little angels (ahem…Elsie). Some are tiny troublemakers (Betty & Bentley, lol!). And some are just anxious little sweethearts that need extra love (Polly). I love them all so dang much.
Do they occasionally test my patience? Absolutely. Do they get away with things they probably shouldn’t? More often than I’d like to admit. Would I still choose this life a thousand times over? Without a doubt, because life with dogs is the only life I want to have.
What Exactly Is The Sassy Dog House?
Think of this blog as a little peek inside our world. That means all the funny, the sweet, the chaotic, and everything in between.
Here’s what you can expect to find around here:
- Dog Mom Life: The everyday reality of living with dogs, from daily routines to the little things only fellow dog parents understand.
- Furry Shenanigans: The mischief, the sass, the questionable decisions, and the moments that make you wonder who’s actually training whom (hint: they are very good at training me).
- Adoption Stories: The personalities, quirks, and stories that make our adopted pups such a special part of our family. Every dog has a story, and every one of them has made our lives a little more interesting.
- The Everyday Moments: The cuddles, the sleepy snuggles, the chaos, and all those little moments that make up each and every day.
Basically all things dog with a lot of sass. This isn’t called The Sassy Dog House for no reason!
A Little Dog Hair Never Hurt Anybody
Let’s get one thing straight: this is not a perfectly polished, picture-perfect dog household where every paw stays clean and every dog behaves like a model citizen. This is real life. There will be dog hair. There will be chaos. There are definitely more pictures of dogs than anything else on my camera roll that I want to share with y’all.
There’s a pretty good chance I’ll be talking to my dogs like they’re actual people. There is actually a 100% chance because I do this all the time. Don’t judge. I know I’m not the only one.
If you’ve ever bought your dog something they didn’t need because they looked cute, rearranged your entire day around your dog’s comfort, or apologized to your pup for accidentally disturbing their nap, you’re among friends here. We speak fluent dog. We understand the importance of treats. And, we know that sometimes the best seat in the house is the one your dog is already occupying.

Why I Created This Blog
Because life with dogs is worth sharing. The silly moments, the familiar routines, the unconditional love, and the personalities that make each dog so unique. I wanted a place to share those moments, laugh about the chaos, celebrate our dogs, and connect with other people who understand that dogs aren’t just dogs. They’re our family!
If you’re a fellow dog mom, a proud dog dad, a rescue dog enthusiast, or simply someone who stops scrolling whenever a cute dog appears on the screen, I think you will fit right in.
Welcome to the Pack!
Whether you’re here for the laughs, the dog pictures, the rescue stories, or just a little break from the everyday hustle, I’m happy you’re here. Stick around, say hello, and share your own doggies with us!
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some very important dogs to attend to. Someone probably needs a treat, someone else has stolen a spot on the couch, and I’m fairly certain someone peed in the dog room. You know how it goes.
